Festival headliners: Outfit inspiration for the main stage
Two become one
Make outfit-building easy with mix-and-match co-ords. Pattern match for impact or split into separates and layer with knitwear for cooler evenings. ‘From denim to stripes, gingham to polka dots, take your pick and wear long after the last set,’ says Lynda. Denim shorts are a perennial favourite, updated with a painted stripe print and wide leg fit. ‘They strike the perfect balance of relaxed and considered, while the matching waistcoat adds coverage when the sun goes down.’
Carry everywhere
‘Crossbody bags are a staple, keeping your hands free with multiple compartments for your belongings,’ explains Lynda. Crochet designs are the go-to this summer, with longevity beyond the season. Natural raffia is reworked for 2026 with embroidery and bold colour accents for a fresher feel.
Happy feet
When the day includes dancing and wandering between stages, comfort is key. ‘Stick to chunkier, flat sandals for all day (and night) support,’ recommends Lynda. Our top picks? Melissa jelly shoes or Birkenstock sandals, both offer a comfortable footbed with enough detail to add a subtle statement.
Just add details
The key to a standout look lies in the finishing touches. ‘Choose a bucket hat, a seasonal staple, to add that off-duty feel,’ advises Lynda, and don’t forget sunglasses for when the sun appears. Pair with a printed headscarf that doubles as a neckerchief, headband or colourful accessory for your bag. When it comes to jewellery, think ring stacking, chunky necklaces and bold bangles for maximum impact.
